Yesterday as the sun went down
And the break of night had crashed
I sat there and wondered to myself
How it all went by so fast
How did I let the years slip by?
How did I loose track of time?
But it was alright by the end of the night
Because I'm still doin' fine

Three little girls by the highway sign
Who were looking to hitch a ride
One of there names were Jaime-Lynn
She was a blonde with a delicate side
We drove all night into the day
Fast and running blind
And it don't matter if the night was shattered
We were all still doin' fine.

I saw her there near my hotel room
I even remember her red dress
But from there it was all downhill
And just ended up a mess
It's been a while since I've thought about that
I guess it's just stuck in my mind
How long it's been since I've seen her smile
But I'm still doin' fine

Everyone's having a party now
Drinking their fill of wine
While I just sit back in my chair
And let these old bones unwind
For I know my time is gone
I'm too far past my prime
