Hell Away From Heaven

I hear the voices chanting, "lives matter" more than before.
Yelling it at each other, rather those who caused the war.
Our eyes have come to see it, as some worldly progression.
But to me it seems, we're still a hell away from heaven.

There's many sleeping on the sidewalks, stuck on material things.
Not thinking about tomorrow, or the chances that it brings.
But to roll the dice one time, for some silly possession.
Just to blind to see, we're still a hell away from heaven.

I've been many times told before, ignorance is bliss.
But how do so many people, not see the problem with this?
While the world is whirling, twirling, through infinite space and time.
Our objective is only appealing, to our own body and minds.

So stocks will keep on crashing, nations will continue to fall.
Suspect to the notion, all for one, and one for all.
Meanwhile, all the ones on top, stick to their strange obsessions.
And the rest of the world remains, still a hell away from heaven.
