When I was 17 no they never used to call me by name
Or let me know that I had a part in all of these decisions
That I thought somebody would make
So I ran oh they shoved it down my throat
Always stand in line only take what's given
My decisions are my own
I'm sick of being under you

I tried to take the high road
But I already know where it goes
So I guess I'll take my chances down below

Fast forward 23 staring out of the window of this hotel
My friends with their college degrees
Slowly making their way back home

We're nowhere near the finish and it's getting better every night
