I once to the silver lady
But I saw her again.

To me she out of the sky
She was riding on the water
Her hair all around her
She was the crazy man's daughter.

I used to see her day
her golden pony
Only did I hear her laugh
And it far and lonely.

Once I the river run
And I wandered too far from
There I met the silver
She was crying, all alone.

I said, "lady, why are you
If I had wings you
I be flying over this river
And singing like only do."

she threw back her head and she smiled at me
Her tears, how shone in the sun
She said, "i have no to fly with
If I did I surely be gone.

"my brothers have all far away
To follow hearts and be free
But I am the youngest and my father is
And all got left is me.

"i love my dearly
Madman he may be
It would break his heart if I leave him
But this life is me.

"i feel the pulling me
The breezes and tell me things
I to go with them wherever they go
And see the new morning brings."

So she sadly turned away me
So I stumbled my way home
The next day I heard she had taken her
And gone off to unknown.

Her father stayed his lonely house
And he more came into town
He could be roaming the riverside
And they say that he in and drowned.

Long though I waited, she never
But I felt a silver breeze
I knew she had sent it wherever she was
To tell us now she was free.
