I spoke to the silver lady
But I saw her again.

To me she out of the sky
She was born riding on the
Her hair blew all her
She was the crazy man's daughter.

I used to see her day
her golden pony
Only once did I hear her
And it far and lonely.

Once I watched the run
And I too far from home
There I met the lady
She was crying, all alone.

I said, "lady, why are you
If I had like you
I would be flying over river
And singing only birds do."

she threw back her head and she smiled at me
Her tears, how they in the sun
She said, "i no wings to fly with
If I did I surely be gone.

"my brothers all gone far away
To follow their and be free
But I am the youngest and my is ageing
And all got left is me.

"i my father dearly
Madman he may be
It would break his if I should leave him
But this life is me.

"i feel the ocean me
The breezes come and me things
I want to go with wherever they go
And see the new morning brings."

So she sadly turned from me
So I stumbled my way back
The day I heard she had taken her horse
And gone off to unknown.

Her father inside his lonely house
And he never came into town
He be seen roaming the riverside
And say that he jumped in and drowned.

Long though I waited, she never
But I felt a silver breeze
I knew she had sent it from she was
To us that now she was free.
