Sunrise

I've seen mornings come and go,
I've seen the moonlight slip away;
But now I think I finally know
That now we're finally here to stay!

I've heard the rooster crow at dawn,
I've watched the sun rise on the field;
I've been waiting far too long
For this feeling to be real!

I am just a poor wayfarer
Travelin' through this world of sin
There's a highway we can walk on
Leads to grace and truth within!

Now there's a Friend that's closer than a brother
Sticks to my soul just like glue...
Keeps my heart from travelin' yonder;
Don't know what I'd do, Lord, without You!

Love is a feeling that fills the spaces
And keeps the cold from setting in too far...
Look at all the empty faces
Jesus, they don't know Who You are:

You're the One Who came to free us
Of the chains we forged ourselves
You're the One Who can release us:
Make us strong and make us well!
