A beloved symbol of Australia.

Koalas have been listed as a threatened species in some parts of the country after a plunge in the wild population.

Habitat loss, urban expansion, vehicle strikes, dog attacks and disease have contributed to their dwindling numbers.

Estimates on koala numbers vary but some studies suggest there are fewer than 80,000 koalas left in the wild.

Koala được đưa vào danh sách những loài vật bị đe dọa ở một số vùng của nước này sau khi con số sụt giảm mạnh.

Mất môi trường sinh thái, tình trạng đô thị mở rộng, những vụ đâm xe, bị chó tấn công và bệnh tật đang góp phần làm con số koala giảm đi.

Các ước tính con số koala có khác nhau nhưng một vài nghiên cứu gợi ‎ cho thấy còn chưa tới 80 ngàn con koala ngoài hoang dã.
