Truth

Absolue truth, absolute reality,
its those thigns that dont change,
those things that dont fade away,
no matter how much you dont believe them,
no matter how hard you try to wish them away.
For there is nothing in this life that takes
more strength, more courage,
than to accept the truth in life that we hate.

Instead, it is often shoved down inside,
corraled in some unvisited chamber of the soul
where it laughs mockingly at you
every time you look its direction.
Its the thing that torments you inside,
the thing that keeps peace at a distance
despite the repeated attempts you've made
to dissassociate yourself from its existence.

Because sooner or later one must realize that all they can do is stare at Almighty God in the face and accept the facts of life set before them for the way they are, not for the way they are desired to be.
