My flesh and my spirit
are constantly at war
There's a battle raging inside of me

one part of me trying to drag me to the pit
while the other trying to soar
my spirit man is trying to be patient
and considerate and listen
but this poor old broked up dust of the earth
just wants to satisfy it's system

I don't think you get it
my spirit man is on the frontlines of the battlefield
with a long barrel in the face of my flesh
trying to keep it in check
They say my dreams is God
trying to tell me something
whether or not that's so
I'm trying to crack the code
Sometimes I have dreams of tragedy
It's no else/ it's me
Is that a past life?
Or is it a premonition of the present life?
I've had enough crazy dreams
to make you appreciate reality
Then I realize there's so many things in life
Perhaps I'll never know or understand

When I examine man's wicked behavior
I figure no wonder
God had to send us a savior
on album 2 I said
my eyes were blinded
now my eyes been opened
so why should I hide it?
seeking enlightenment
It's like unbelievers
would love to strange me with my mic cord
but what they don't realize

go to battle with the sword
because the sword is the word
and it heals you see
But if it doesn't cut to heal you
it can cut to kill you
double edged sword
can either be for you or against you
In this life as a reject
where's the respect?
Been an outcast since the first day of school
treated unfair by fools
had to pump my fist and duel
back in the day
Used to get slammed over school desk
alienated from the rest
I always felt like an outcast
They treated me like a bastard
so the game I mastered
