Lady just kidnapped your husband
Have $800,000 ready by tomorrow
and no police
or never see your husband alive again

I remember there so petrified
my frozen to the phone
as a stranger's words that in my ears
and chilled me to the
Some dark had come right home to me
they'd kidnapped my man and his was in their hands

He was a hostage, a
His was at the mercy of their hands
He was a hostage, a
His life depending on gold demands

Lady, here's your through
to not to play any games

Hi honey I'm okay
Just make sure you do they tell you
and whatever you do go to the police!
Well I raise that kinda money fast
so I was no other choice
so I called the and they came in fast
"leave it up to us
just do as told
the ransom's in bag
we'll watch you
and we'll your husband back too"
REPEAT

Listen carefully lady
out to the abandoned shack on Highway 16
throw the package of money out the window and keep
and remember no police!
my heart was heavy as I made that drive
I was sure was wrong
I soon found the
I threw out the bag and I just kept on
the shots rang out and I turned my car about
On the ground one lay but the one had gotten away
CHORUS

Well they found my a few days later
Yes, the tomorrow
