Luyện nghe bài hát The Gift

A poor girl named Maria
Was to market one day
She for to rest by the roadside
Where a with a broken wing lay

A few moments till she saw it
For its feathers were with sand
And soon cleaned and it was traveling
In the warmth of Marias hand

She happily gave her peso
On a made of rushes and twine
She fed it loose corn the market
And watched it grow stronger with

Now the gift-giving was coming
And the church with tinsel and light
And all of the folk brought presents
To lay by the manger night

There where diamonds, incense and
And fit for a king
But for one bird in a small cage
had nothing to bring

She waited till just before
So no one see her go in
And she knelt by the manger
For her gift was of him

a voice spoke to her through the darkness
Maria, what you to me?
If the bird in the cage is offering
the door, let me see

So she trembled, she did as he her
And out of the the bird flew
Soaring up into the
On a that had healed good as new

Just then the midnight bells out
And the little started to sing
A song that no could recapture
For its beauty was fit for a

Now Maria felt just to listen
To that cascade of notes sweet and
As her offering was lifted to
By the very nightingales song
