Luyện nghe bài hát The Gift

A poor orphan named Maria
Was to market one day
She stopped for to by the roadside
a bird with a broken wing lay

A few moments passed she saw it
For its feathers covered with sand
And soon cleaned and it was traveling
In the warmth of small hand

She happily gave her peso
On a cage of rushes and twine
She fed it loose corn the market
And watched it grow stronger time

Now the gift-giving service was
And the church shone tinsel and light
And all of the town folk brought
To lay by the manger that

There diamonds, incense and perfume
And packages fit for a
But for one bird in a small cage
Maria had nothing to

She till just before midnight
So no one see her go in
And she knelt by the manger
For her gift was of him

Then a voice spoke to her the darkness
Maria, brings you to me?
If the bird in the is your offering
the door, let me see

So she trembled, she did as he her
And out of the cage the flew
Soaring up the rafters
On a wing had healed good as new

Just then the midnight bells out
And the little bird to sing
A song that no words could
For its beauty was fit for a

Now felt blessed just to listen
To that of notes sweet and long
As her was lifted to heaven
By the very first nightingales
