The Ballad of Time and Eternity

Once up in a bottle there lived Time
And He had a garden where He met her by morning
And there in the dawning
They dreamed of a life where Time could leave His fine bottle
And unfading travel with her to ask for Her father's blessing

She was Eternity and He would fall behind
Slowly and silently, she was losing Time

Hold on you're getting somewhere

One day covered in twilight Time passed by
Surprised at what she was holding, smiling she told Him
This seed is for your garden
We'll sow it together and only while we're out walking
Rise and grow it will, Time stood still in her presence not passing

That day Eternity made a date with Time
And she could almost see the reason and the rhyme
