There was a land I once heard
'Twas Mushroom Down
The folk who lived there it well
And left their town

And when the were drained
In arose their gaze

A flood the likes of which poured
Upon the Mushroom
A gathering was held

And their votes were unmixed:
"We must the flight!"
The disappointment the land
Was more some could bear
For own world, once thought so grand,
They did no care
To say the it was a shame
To see the act
As though they'd their hope, their flame
When their poor plans were
But still the rain on
For than fifty days
mushroom store was almost gone
They of sunshine rays
And when they began to cease
Their thoughts of other
If only this storm would
Theyd cherish Downs
night was spent in blackness deep
No star was to shine
But the morning broke their sleep
saw a sight divine
The rain was nowhere to be
The sky was and clear
of joy for miles around
Were all one could hear
And is more, the earth had sprung
New overnight
And many hymns of were sung
And no one spoke of
And so at last the ballad
With happiness
