There was a land I once tell
'Twas Mushroom Down
The folk who lived there it well
And never their town

Now in the of the town
No had ever seen
A the likes of which poured down
the Mushroom Green
A gathering was held
The elders that night
And even their were unmixed:
"We postpone the flight!"
The disappointment the land
Was more some could bear
For their own world, once so grand,
They did no care
To say the least it was a
To see the act
As though they'd their hope, their flame
When their poor plans sacked
But still the rain on
For than fifty days
Their mushroom store was gone
They of sunshine rays
And when they began to cease
thoughts of other towns
If only this would decrease
Theyd cherish Mushroom
That was spent in blackness deep
No star was seen to
But when the morning broke sleep
They saw a sight
The rain was to be found
The sky was fresh and
Hurrahs of joy for around
Were all that one hear
And is more, the earth had sprung
New mushrooms
And many hymns of praise sung
And no one of flight
And so at last the ballad
With happiness
And so the story goes, my
That is, until time.
