Still Be There, Flowers and Us (From "The Story of MingLan")

一朝花开傍柳
寻香误觅亭侯
纵饮朝霞半日晖
风雨着不透

yì zhāo huā kāi bàng liǔ
xún xiāng wù mì tíng hóu
zòng yǐn zhāo xiá bàn rì huī
fēng yǔ zhuó bú tòu

One day, flowers bloomed beside the willow.
While searching for the fragrance, [I] accidentally found a nobleman[2] [instead].
Indulging in drinks [until] the rosy clouds of morning [were lit by] half the day's light,
The wind and the rain were unable to touch [us].

一任宫长骁瘦
台高冰泪难流
锦书送罢蓦回首
无余岁可偷

yí rèn gōng cháng xiāo shòu
tái gāo bīng leì nán liú
jǐn shū sòng bà mò huí shǒu
wú yú suì kě tōu

Upon assuming the position of an official, [even my] strong horse [has grown] thin [in the face of all the adversity].
The platform is high; [my] icy tears have a hard time flowing.
After having sent off the loving letter[3], [I] suddenly turn around.
There are no remaining years [of mine] that can be stolen [from me].

浓睡不消残酒
试问卷帘人却道海棠依旧
知否 知否
应是绿肥红瘦

zuó yè yǔ shū fēng zhòu
nóng shuì bù xiāo cán jiǔ
shì wèn juǎn lián rén què dào hǎi táng yī jiù
zhī fǒu / zhī fǒu
yīng shì lǜ féi hóng shòu

Last night, the rain was sparse [but] the wind was heavy.
Deep sleep did not get rid of the remaining [effects of] alcohol.
Upon asking the [maid] rolling up the curtains [about the state of crab apple blossoms], [she] replies that the crab apple [flowers] are just as they were [the day] before.
Don't [you] know? Don't [you] know?
[This is the time of the season when] the leaves should be luxuriant and the flowers wilting[1.3].
