1) The LORD has searched me, He knows my heart,
He tests me and refines me He sets me apart,
Behold, my LORD, He is a sovereign God.

2) Awake or asleep I am known by Him,
Every word on my tongue, all my plans, every whim,
Behold, my LORD, He is a sovereign God.

CHORUS:
And where can I go from Your spirit my LORD?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend into heaven or descend in the depths,
Behold, You are there.

3) If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the sea,
Even there You shall lead me, Your right hand shall hold me,
Behold, my LORD, He is a sovereign God.

4) Even the night shall be light about me, too,
Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
Behold, my LORD, He is a sovereign God.
