Ships To War

If my voice could move the sails of our ships in route to war,
then I could spin the grandest tales that would steer us from your shore.
I'd pull us both so far away and hold us far apart,
until the days forced hatred to give way to beauty in our hearts.

Or we can fight! Fuel our souls with hate.
Spill each others blood tonight, let war decide our fate.
We can stand! Rain fire from above.
Pray for justice we'll demand when we bury ones we love.

If I was strong enough inside to put my pride aside then I'd
retract this pointed finger, and my blame for those who died.
If only I had peace of mind for all that I have lost,
then I would prove that I want peace this time and melt away the frost.
