As I walk the dusty road of this old life
There are times I pass through desert canyons
filled with inner strife
And I question all Ive known
like a blindman at the grindstone
Eternity it calls me on
But Ive got miles to tread til dawn

Jesus, Beautiful One wont you save me?
Find me, break this dark mist with your glory!
Oh Savior, bring living water Im yearning
Fields blaze, foxtails and torches still burning

I cant but Jesus you can
Lord let me die as your man
On these mighty pillars
Place my hands

Theres a thirst for righteousness inside my soul
Theres a hunger deep within for holiness I cant ignore
But the world would see me stained
Flaming arrows fall like rain
Even brave men fall apart
In an age of endless dark

Jesus, Beautiful One wont you save me?
I know theres no hope outside of your glory!
Oh Savior, rip out this black heart renew me!
Cast out all of these devils I cant see
