Remembering Christmas

When I was just a young girl, and the seasons changed
I had dreams of that very special time of year
When the leaves have fallen and the snow was on the ground
Was evidence my favorite holiday was near
I'd think of all the presents of clothing and toys
Then I'd reminisce of the things that brought me so much joy

Seems like the older you become, things start to change
My love and memories of this holiday still remains
The trees, the lights, the songs, family and friends come together
The gifts we give shows the love we have for each other
Each moment we share makes us aware the gift of life
