Psalm 46

God is a refuge and strength,
an ever present help in troubled times.
Therefore I will not fear, though the earth gives way.
Though the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though the waters will roar
and the mountains all quake with their surging.

There is a river whose streams cheer the city of God,
where the most high dwells.
God is within her, she will not fall.
God will help her at daybreak,
though kingdoms may fall and the nations in uproar,
the earth melts when He lifts His voice.

For the Lord almighty is with us,
and the God of Jacob is our fortress.
For the Lord almighty is with us,

Come and see the works of the Lord
and all the mighty things which He has done.
He makes wars to cease to the ends of the earth.

Be still, be still and know that I am God.
