Then he cried again with an awful
And the said, "Seize him by the tail"

Well, the Lord said, ''Moses, got power
And I'll be with you hour"
Said, "Go tell to set my children free''
Well, Moses did but the Lord out
He sent a plague to the land
So old Pharaoh him, he could go and let him be

Well, they started out with a cloud day
And a fire by to lead the way
But old Pharaoh suddenly to change his mind
So he gathered together his soldier
Got all them chariots the land
Said, ''I'll let them go some other time''

God to lead His children out of bondage
He said He'd free them from evil hand
He He'd guide and protect them on their journey
And lead to the promised land

they came to the banks of the old Red Sea
Turned to Moses and started to
And Moses fell on his and there in the sand
The said, "Moses, trust in God
'Cause all you gotta do is just raise rod
And these mighty waters stretch your hand"

Moses followed the Lord's command
The waters parted and in the sand
saw a path that led to the other shore
Well, the ground was dry and they on through
And old Pharaoh's thought they would too
But the fell, they ain't never been seen no more
