God Was A Dog

God took another photograph of my face and laughed,
he said "Look at what you've done.
To all the people joining you, on their rides right through,
a life made by my son.

And did you ever take the time to love yourself and see,
all of life's beauty? Life's reality?"

Well I've discovered all but..

As I stumbled cross this heaven place,
I only found solace.
I felt somewhere out of place.
I saw only little butterflies, stuck between the lines,
of emotions on my face.

Well I felt as if I understood, lacing up my hood,
I felt I thought I should retreat.
