Folks call him the 'Pavement Parson' ... he preaches to the sidewalk crowd
on a corner - rain or shine ... reads the good book right out loud
Today I to listen ... he touched my soul with the words he read
I was thinking 'bout my troubles ... he said, "Son, we're heaven blessed ...

There's a Glory ... waiting for you and me
Gonna carry us to salvation ... set our burden
There's a Glory Train ... we all can get on
And we'll ride to the promise land to be together ... for more."

Well, I couldn't help but ... 'bout the story of his life
So I bought him a cup of coffee ... to warm his bones and we talked a
He he was married to an angel ... but in her last years, she took ill
She her smile right to the end ... her words console him still ...

"There's a Glory ... waiting for you and me
carry us to salvation ... set our burden free
There's a Glory Train ... we all can get on
And ride to the promise land to be together ... for ever more."

I decided right then and there . . . to be more for what I have
Live each day like there's no tomorrow; cherish what's given and then give ...
Until my at hand to board that ...

Glory Train ... for you and me
Gonna carry us to ... set our burden free
There's a Train ... we all can get on board
And we'll ride to the land to be together ... for ever more ... ever more
