pearls of sweat are covering my face
adrenalin pumping through my veins I'm not ready for this chase
a victim of an element which gives us our life
can also take it back like the blade of a knife
above me a distorted picture, beneath me it's black
painful freezing water like pins and needles in my back

this pressure to my head, the wish of being dead
fills my body with pain, reproaches I've been fed
wrong directions I've been led, blood freezing in my veins

they say that life passes in front of you before you die
I know now it's true but the question is why
the deeper I sink, the darker it gets
feeling cramps in my body, no oxygen left
eyelids slowly closing, death grabbed me by the neck
forced me to the other side, I am no longer wet
