Continental Divide

We fell out of the sky, two little snowflakes on the wind
we knew when summer arrived our mountaintop days would have to end
winter brought us to life, spring began our ending with a thaw
summer we opened our eyes, couldnt stop the seasons after all

the sun came out, we melted down

set down on a mountain so high, you can see forever from up here
snow melts like tears in your eyes, we knew we wouldnt make it through the year
