Bug Bites

Wash its face I am my acne

My head has always been empty
I've got nothing made to throw behind me

Just some ideas that I never saw to
And burdens that I never gave you
I'll never be what they've made me into

I see his face it's proud and foolish
Stuffed with fake pretentious common knowledge

And the selfish compliments that define us

I eat them all then use the toilet

Or fill a page with lines of vomit instead

I eat poisonous grass

The sap that makes me ugly
Moves the acid to the outside
Unmask the wretched liar

I see his skin up on the screen
It's now red swollen and weeping

And their numbers only find one answer

But there's a spectrum that we'll never see

It's a part of me so let me feel something

My heels are bruised from standing on this pedestal

And I've spent too much on masks already

I'm dumb, I'll talk to waste your time
You're wearing the smile he bought you

I'm wearing the face you gave to me

It's flamed and ugly, pale and empty
I'm dumb, I'm dumb don't touch my skin

You broke the ice that lived inside my eyes

But I'm annoying when I use them on you

But I'm happy here; no I'm not lonely
