Ah, Murphy, had aid come over,
The green flag from shore to shore!
At Vinegar Hill, the pleasant Slaney,
Our heroes vainly back to back,
And the Yeos at Tullow Father Murphy
And his body upon the rack.
God you glory, brave Father Murphy,
And Heaven to all your men;
The cause that you may call tomorrow
In another for the green again.
