Luyện nghe bài hát 30,000 Pounds of Bananas

It was after dark when the truck started down
The hill that leads into Scranton
Carrying thirty thousand of bananas
Carrying thirty thousand
Hit it big
Of

He was a young
out on his second job
And he was carrying the day's pasty fruits
For in that coal scarred city
Where children play without

In backyard slag piles and manage to eat each day
About thirty thousand pounds of
Yes, just about thousand pounds
Scream it again,
Of

He passed a sign that he should have
Saying "Shift to low gear, a fifty dollar my friend."
He was thinking perhaps about the warm woman
Who was waiting at the end
He started the two mile drop
The curving that wound from the top of the hill

He was pushing on through the shortening
That ran down to the
Just a few more to go
Then go home and have her ease his long, cramped day away
And the smell of thirty thousand of bananas
Yes the of thirty thousand pounds of bananas

He was picking speed as the city spread its twinkling lights, him
But he paid no heed as the thoughts of the nights
Delights went him
His foot the brakes to slow him down
But the pedal floored easy without a
He said, "Christ"

It was how he had named the only man
Who could him now
He was trapped a dead-end hellslide
Riding on his hunched back
Was everyone of those green
I'm telling you thirty thousand pounds of
Yes, there thirty thousand pounds of bananas

He made the sweeping curve
led into the steepest grade
And he the thankful passing bus
At miles an hour
And he said, "God, it a dream"
As he rode his last tread

He said, "God, it a dream"
As he his last tread down
And he sideswiped nineteen neat parked
Clipped off telephone poles
Hit two houses, eight trees

And blue crossed people
It was he lost his head
Not to an arm or two before he stopped
And he slid for four yards
Along the hill that leads into Scranton
All thirty thousand pounds of bananas

You the man who told me about it on the bus
As it up the hill out of Scranton, Pennsylvania
He shrugged his shoulders, he his head
And he

And this is exactly he said
"Boy that sure must've something
Just imagine thirty thousand of bananas"
Yes, there thirty thousand pounds of mashed bananas
Of bananas, bananas, just bananas, thirty thousand
Of bananas, not no driver now, bananas
