We buried alive our names with the pharaohs
we sent out a lantern it came back a sparrow

three by glacial island
we scourged the forest for the fire but found it filled with diamonds
so come to the pastures so golden and beckoning
we mounted a centaur and left fences reckoning

our eyes shone so bright while the violence still lingered
but swords and daggers fell to rust in gardens of desire
the autumn harvest reaped the ending of the dark empire
