Thunders Over The Fields

I decided to set out on my journey in the wild lands that the lineage of Odin left us
I saddled my horse and the best of bridles that I had I put on his head

Riding through the fields I left, moving on and thinking that perhaps
I won't be returned (back south!)
I won't be returned!

I reached the freezing eastern mountains, on which your Mjölnir so many giants slew
And again I saw you ramble to other lands, so far away from me

Riding through the fields alone I followed ceaselessly the flash of
your lightnings, my Lord (oh, mighty Thor!)
your lightnings, my Lord!

And to the North I found the fog so vast, and the prevailing darkness blinded me
In the distance an ash tree growing towards the sky and gave me protection
It gave me protection (while the thunders)
Guided my path!
In the west I left my horse, the poor beast dead from walking for so long
Thirsty and tired I found a river where I could quench my thirst with Ymir's blood

Suddenly a lightning fell from the sky and it set aflame
A nearby tree (and with its fire)
It offered me warmth

The storm moved away roaring to other lands and...
Majestic light! (It granted me a river)
Today it leaves me again (to lighten other skies)
Like a fleeting memory (It leaves!)
The Thunder spoke!
