Those were the days, back in Junior
For an 8th grader, my style was fly
And to prove I was an MC Pro
I often a classroom show
And the hype of my imagination
Was making my homeroom a hip hop
Minutes before the late bell ring
I would greet the audience and then swing
A lyric or two as the barked
my rhymes had sparked
Off causing the class to mingle
To a rhythm is now a 12" single
Letting off styles of hip hop
Holding the mic that I in wood shop
Forget gold, my key was a cable
Two math textbooks turntables
And for a mixer, something much
A penny cross faded on a ruler
Measuring dope that were flexed
hands that played a drum roll on a desk
From my home girl, her name, fly as
Sweet
I remember sitting in my art
Drawing up kinda fast
The outcome, a
Live shows with hyped up released
As if were flowing from the heavens above
I'll grab a mic and provoke a push to a
boys and girls who broke necks to see
The G.O.D.

Those the days

Now high school, lunch room's the scene
And I'm ready to flip the
In the cafeteria, period
And I come with the JVC
I go in my pocket and out a mic
it in, check one-two...alright
Now who wanna and prove their MC skills?
A brother forward and tried to get ill
But when it came to live out his name
He kicked rhymes that all sounded the
But I did him in with a matter of
And he was done with one victorious
He was shocked he knew he was rocked
Along with his classmates off his block
YO!, I'm you, I flipped his whole crew
One against one or one two
Or three or brothers who swore they can rhyme
Battled me and got out every time
From my and my dope profile
Plus the period of time that I for awhile
As a motivated, supreme force
Cultivated, activated cream and
The wise and born to be
The one who would an MC
