Years ago, in my mind but in my heart it's not so long
I thought I knew what love was, I was oh so wrong
found myself moving on.
I met a boy with a perfect face and smile, hardbody build.
My days were full of laughter nights were passion filled.
And I said to myself, there could be no one else.
He courted me and showered me with most expensive things
bought bouquets of flowers, precious diamond rings
and we had so much fun. So sure he was the one

I feel like all my hopes and dreams
are flying high and free.
Soon I had found that love was so much more
than giving into him, all he would ask me for
seeing we stood on different moral ground
just when I needed him the most, he'd never be around
