The Way It Is

She is from a faraway land
a place forgotten ruled only by men
And when the sun doesn't shine
She won't stop looking at the sky
and pray one more time.

He was a very young guy
About to set fire to every single thing
he liked
She thinks that everything is fine
That he would come back
and hold her like that time by the pines.

But by the time
she realized what happened
there was no going back
He said sorry honey
but there is nothing I can do instead.

To ease my mind
To be completely free of all my hunting past
To smile again
To know if happiness it's a real thing in me.
