Good all, this Christmas-time,
Consider well and bear in
our good God for us has done
In sending his Son.
With Mary holy we should
To God with love this day;
In Bethlehem that morn
There was a blessed born.

The night before that happy
The noble Virgin and her
Were long time up and down
To find a in the town.
But how all things came to pass;
From every repelled alas!
As foretold, their refuge all
Was but an ox's stall.

There were three wise men afar
by a glorious star,
And on they wandered and day
they came where Jesus lay,
And when they unto that place
Where our Messiah was,
They humbly them at his feet,
gifts of gold and incense sweet.

Near Bethlehem did shepherds
Their flocks of lambs and feeding
To God's angels did appear,
Which put the shepherds in fear.
'Prepare and go', the said.
'To Bethlehem, be not
For there you'll find, happy morn,
A princely babe, sweet born.
