Hi and girls, I'm Perry Como, And I'm gonna tell you the wonderful story in the whole world, The of the First Christmas!
Now suppose you make believe is many, many years ago, A long time you were born! standing on a hillside, near a little town in Palestine, Do you see the man in the distance, slowly, leading a donkey? His is Joseph! And riding on the is Mary. They've come a long, way, And heading for the town near the hillside, On which standing! Something very special will in this town tonight! For is the little town of Bethlehem!
Oh town of Bethlehem, How we see thee lie, thy deep and dreamless sleep, The silent go by! Yet in thy streets shineth, The light! The and fears of all the years, Are met in tonight!
Now let's follow Joseph and into Bethlehem, It's dark and all the rooms at the Inn are taken, So spend the night at a stable. Now I you something special was gonna happen, and it did! A baby boy is to Mary, And called him Jesus. They had no baby's crib, so puts little Jesus to sleep, In the sweet hay of a manger!
Come, come, to the manger, Lord Jesus is born on this day!
Now while Jesus lies in the asleep, Let's tiptoe to the hillside near Bethlehem, the Shepherds tend their flock. All at once the are frightened, You'd be too, a great light suddenly shines in the sky! Even the are hushed and still, But you hear the voice of an Angel of the Lord! And you're no frightened, For the Angel good news, News of a Saviour this day, News of the Lord!
The First Noel! the did say, Was to certain Shepherds, In fields as lay, Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel! is the King of Israel!
Now and girls, Remember, still making believe we're with the Shepherds and the Angel, On the hillside Bethlehem. The ask the Angel, Where to the Christ-child ? And the Angel tells to go to the manger. And as they leave the sky is with others Angels singing, Glory to God! On Peace, Goodwill, to Men!
The hurry to the manger, Fall on their before the baby, And they him! For He is the Lord!
Oh! all ye faithful, and triumphant! Oh ye, Oh! Come ye, to Bethlehem! and behold Him, Born the of Angels, Oh! Come let us Him, Oh! let us adore Him, Oh! let us adore Him, the Lord!
And now, up into the sky! See that bright star in the heavens ? Far away, three men are looking at that just as we are! They're on camels, And they're the star as a guide to lead them to the Christ-child. Who are these men who follow the star ? Let's out!
We Three Kings of are, Bearing gifts, we afar, and fountain, moor and mountain, Following star!
That's right and girls, The three men on the camels are the three men, The new star guides to Bethlehem, To a little lying in a manger! There the three men present gifts to the Christ-child, The Christmas gifts ever given to anyone, A of gold, of frankincense, and of Mir! The wise men fall on their knees to Him, A peace settles on the night, For the Holy Night!
Silent night, night, All is calm, all is bright, yon virgin mother and child, Holy infant so and mild! in heavenly peace, Sleep in peace!
we celebrate Christmas, Think of Bethlehem, the Virgin Mary, the wise men, And the of the Christ-child! The Christmas!
Oh! let us adore Him, the Lord!
