Luyện nghe bài hát The Men Of The West

The Men of the
(William Rooney)
When you in song and in story
The names of the men,
Whose valor has covered glory
Full a mountain and glen,
Forget not the boys of the
Who rallied their bravest and
When was broken in Wexford
And for revenge to the West.
cho: I you the gallant old West, boys,
rallied our bravest and best
When Ireland lay broken and
for the men of the West!
The hilltops with glory glowing
'Twas the eve of a bright day,
When the ship we'd been waiting
into Killala's broad bay.
And the hills went the slogan
To in every breast
The fire has never been quenched, boys,
the true hearts of the West.

Killala was ere the midnight,
And high Ballina town
Our banners in triumph waving
Before the sun had gone down.
We gathered to speed the work, boys
The men from near and afar;
And history can how we routed
The redcoats old Castlebar.

And pledge me the sons of France, boys,
Bold and all his brave men,
tramp, like the trumpet of battle,
Brought hope to the again.
Since Ireland has to her bosom
On many a and hill
The who fell, so they're here, boys,
To cheer us to still.

Though all the bright dreamings we
down in disaster and woe,
The spirit of old is with us
That never would to the foe.
And Connaught is ready
The loud rolling of the drum
Rings out to awaken the
And tell us the has come.
