The beautiful city built on the middle-Earth,
It's splendour was acclaimed,
The Noldor Elf mighty and strong,
In the land Turgon Reigned,
Then Tuor was by Ulmo-
The lord of the and sea,
To the people of Gondolin,
Prepare to or flee.

But he was stubborn,
"That I not do!".
He had to love his city,
And the terror of he knew.

The was discovered,
And Morgoth his legions,
Orc warriors the fire-drakes,
Led by the demons.

They appeared the gates and quickly the Gates fell,
The way was now clear, Through the halls,
The orcs of such hatred into the breach,
With they stabbed both man and beast.

The Noldor Elf advanced hammer of wrath,
And the kindred of the they fought,
The blows from hammers, The dint of their clubs,
The fell like leaves but this was not enough.

The lord of the Balrogs his demons,
and for the folk of the hammer.
fled in terror rather than of craft,
Down in the plain all gathered.
But a fire-drake was loosed them-
In the of the hammer they died.
Still it is that each Elf of the hammer,
Took the lives of seven orcs to pay for own.

Gothmog drove the dragons into the heart,
Orcs and Noldor fell the confusion.
The began to tear the streets apart.
The Noldor to realise the battle they'd lose.

The beautiful city built on middle-Earth,
It's splendour was acclaimed'
The Noldor Elf mighty and strong.
In the were Turgon reigned,
But now it lay to ruins,
As the fire its insides,
The hope for the Elves who lived-
Was to run and and hide.

But was a noble king-
"That I not do!",
He stayed to die the city,
The one he knew.
