The Escape

Another fall to keep the sunshine out of sight.
Another wrong just to forget how to be right.
Another mourning 'cause I can't escape the night.
You know me well, but I still got a place to hide.

A new beginning takes me closer to the end.
Shivering fingers lost their grip on this old pen.
How did it come to this, I can't remember when.
Please take me back, it was so simple way back then.

Are we too scared to move on?
Are we ending up alone?

Won't put my blame on what I'd call a broken home.
Heart-breaking memories when she hung up the phone.
The only reason for this misery is me.
