With skin as tough as a sack
He had his second attack
Last summer but hes goin

Theres a in his eyes
For all of you who enough
To wonder why, well, let me you

It all started in 1957
When ole Walt Disney took him by
Thats the day Old Yeller

Well, that twelve old became a man
Eleven too soon in Vietnam
With his friend Tommy

They were tough as nails and southern
And awfully proud to wear that
Then got scary

On April 4th, Tommy left for
The same year the world was taken by
Thats the day Martin Luther

So you judge him you need to know
Theres more to that old man than you
See there on that with a Bourbon in his hand

How quick America
About the only war lost
And life goes on, thats what they ya

No ticker no reason why
Might have never seen the end of that
Of his life, if he met Betty

No it was the best day of his life
Two before John Lennon died

So before you judge him you to know
Theres more to that old man what you
See there on barstool with a bourbon in his hand

Now covered chapter two
I can almost see a in you
still a lot of life in that old man

He hadnt had a in at least a year
To tell the truth Im shocked hes
But as long as he em, Im gonna pour em

you came in I asked him why
He just raised his head and wiped his eyes
And then he me

Ive seen so much in my Ive never questioned
This time the good Lord took me by
Yesterday my died

With skin as tough as a sack
He had his heart attack
Last summer but hes goin
