I to be on stage
to sing my heart out
For an adoring who buys my EP
I want to the applause
the congratulations shower over me
As someone sings my with me
I to be known
A somebody to
A

But what if the crowd is ammunition
For my own egotistical, selfish
if I'm building an altar in honour of me?

I want to tour the
Show the folks in what Joburg sounds like
you sing it
I want to back home
Play the bands that I look up to
In more gigs than I can

But what if the are just ammunition
For my own egotistical, selfish
if I'm building an altar in honour of me?

I my heart's exposed
My self-obsession's been revealed
In my need to be
So I am asking You
Take away this desire to be
By people I don't know

Remove all these that are just ammunition
For my own egotistical, selfish
Stop me from building an altar in of me
Remind me greatness is only accomplished
When You become and I become much less
Teach this young some humility

So I don't need their
'Cause I already Yours
And what would I need than that?
So now when I and perform out there
Remind me that I'm playing
For an of one

An of one
An of one
my audience of one
