That's What I Do

She said "I don't like waiting tables, but some days the tips are good.
I bite my tounge with rude people, don't have to but I should.
I worked 13 extra hours, for her first day of school,
When you're startin' out in Jr High, ya gotta look cool.

So I do, all I can do,
And I take it day by day.
I don't let myself think about,
How it's all I can handle alone.

He said "I don't like driving tractor, I'm very seldom home.
I don't get to see my little boy as often as I want.
Last fall we got so busy, I stopped coachin' little league.
Now I'm afraid his mothers husband, is gunna replace me.

She said "How long have you been drivin'?"
He said "Tonight was my last run."
They sat and talked for hours, 'til the sun came up.
So much they had in common,
He stirred his coffee cup.
She knew today was different the moment he looked up,
