Shadows

She was running from the shadows,
To a place that she called home,
The village that rose over the valley (valley of the fall),
The one place she would never be alone.

Running on, then he came,
Out of the dark, to show her the way.
 
A figure hidden by the darkness,
Holstered with a sword and bow,
High up on his horse so high and tall (with moonlight shining through)
He pulled her up and held her close.

Riding on, through the dark,
Holding on, as he leads the way.
 
Through the wind and rain they go,
They're shooting at their souls,
The cloaked men as they near,
The cloaked men as they near.

The forest cleared, the field appeared,
The chase was lead to a mountain range,
She became so cold as the snow fell,
The valley could be seen right down below.

Riding on, through the snow,
Holding on, as he leads the way.
