Under a cross of stars I flew with you

Can this world amaze before the rains come in?
Where jungle mountains fall into the sea
I saw this in a picture show or knew it from a marquee
The sunsets said to rival Oia,

We had a picture made,
The background was a soul's parade
You'd have thought we had green-screened it,
Would have agreed if I had not seen it

Treasures pure we could uncover,
We found a god we could rediscover
In beauty made from more than nature's mother

This earth could crack today,
All things would fall away
Remaining just the truth for those who believe,

With glowworms there to show the evening dew
We hike along Cathedral cove,
the natives ignore me and you
A hanging rock holds mysteries to this day
Mountain lupines bloom along a rugged shore
I swear I have been here and seen this all before
Or dreamed it from the lilacs by my bed,

We became one of the tribe,
A Polynesia you can't describe
White beaches, ebb and flow,
The lorikeets putting on a show
