Bats are high but, the owls don't give a hoot,
no birds singin', seems the whole mute.
The slightest noise, through the streets,
slumber-lands bounce, to a heartbeat.

Walls of old houses, still after all this time,
explanations contain no reason or rhyme.
The stays awake with ease,
car doors are annoying me.
The rain is coming down, to lash,
and I'm waiting for the to smash.
