Now I a story that I'd like to tell
this guy you all know, he had me scared as hell
He comes to me at when I would crawl into bed
He's burnt up a wiener and his name is Fred
He wears the same hat and every single day
And even if hot outside, he wears it anyway!
He's home when I'm awake, but he shows up when I
I can't believe that a nightmare, on my street!

It was a evening if I remember it right
And we had just off of tour last night
So the gang and I thought that it be groovy
If we up the posse and done rushed a movie
I got Angie, Jeff got
Ready Rock got some girl I've never in my life
That was alright though, the lady was chill
Then we to the theatre set to ill
Buggin' , cold a ball
And somethin' 'bout Elm was the movie we saw
The way it was decent
You know, nothin' real
this homeboy named Fred
And this girl named
But, word! When it was over, I said, "Yo, was def!"
And everything alright when we left
But when I got and laid down to sleep,
That the nightmare on my street!

It was burnin' in my like an oven!
My soaked with sweat, and man, I was buggin'
I checked the clock, it had stopped at
It had melted it was so darn hot, and I was
I wanted something to quench my thirst
I thought to myself, Yo! This is the worst!
But I got downstairs, I noticed something was wrong
I was all alone, but the TV was on.
I thought nothin' of it as I grabbed the
I pushed the button, and I then almost choked
When I heard this aweful voice from behind, it said
"You turned off David Letterman, now you die!"

Man, I even wait to see who it was
inside of my drawers and screamed, "So long, 'cuz!"
Got up the block, I calmed down and stopped screamin'
then thought, 'Oh, I get it, I be dreamin'!'
I strolled back home a grin on my grill
I'm thinkin' since this is a dream, I as well get ill
I walked in the house, the big, bad, Fresh
But Freddy killed all that REAL quick!
He grabbed me by my and said,
"Here's we'll do. We've got a lotta work here, me and you,
The of your friends, you and I will claim.
got the body, and I've got the brain."

I said, "Yo, Fred. I you've got me all wrong.
I ain't parnters nobody with nails that long.
Look, I'll be honest man, team won't work.
The girls won't be on you, Fred, your is all burnt!"
Fred got mad and his head steamin'
But I thought what the hell, I'm dreamin'
I said, "Please leave Fred, so I can get sleep.
But gimme a call, maybe we'll out next week."
I pat him on the shoulder, "Thanks for stoppin' by."
Then I up the door and said, "Take care, guy!"
He got mad, drew back his arm, and my shirt
I laughed at first, thought, Hold up...that hurt.

It a dream, man, this guy was for real
I said, "Freddy, uh, pal, there's been an mistake here."
No words, and then I darted upstairs
Crashed through my door then on my bed
the covers up over my head and said,
"Oh please, do with Fred!"
He jumped on my bed, went through the with his claws
Tried to get me...but my went off. and then
Silence! It was a new day, I thought.
Huh...I scared of him, anyway.
Until I noticed rips in my sheets
And that was proof that there had been a on my street.

Oh man, I gotta call Jeff, I gotta call

C'mon, c'mon...
