Immensity cloistered in thy womb,
Now leaves His imprisonment,
There He made Himself to His intent
enough, now into the world to come;

On the Morning of Christ's
is the month, and this the happy morn
Wherein the Son of Heav'n's King,
Of wedded Maid, and Mother born,
Our great redemption from did bring;
For so the holy sages did sing,
That he our deadly should release,

glorious Form, that Light unsufferable,
And that far-beaming of Majesty,
Wherewith he wont at high council-table,

See how from far upon the eastern
The star-led wizards haste with odours
O run, prevent them thy humble ode,
And lay it at his blessed feet;
Have thou the honour first thy to greet,
And join thy unto the angel quire,
From out his secret touched with hallowed fire
