There are four faces on Mount Rushmore
Carved in a mountain of stone
Men who lived and died for a nation
Giants in a land all their own

From the mansions of Virginia to the tents of Valley Forge
'cross the waters of the icy Delaware
Trenton! Saratoga! They remember General George and recall that a giant
Once was there

"If men are to be precluded from offering their sentiments on a matter
Which may involve the most serious consequences, reason is of no use to us.
The freedom of speech may be taken away, and dumb and silent, we may be led
Like sheep to the slaughter."

Yes you've got to have a giant if you want to save the land
When the savage hungry wolf is at its throat
It was Jefferson who gave Louisian' to Uncle Sam
And the world recalls the giant words he wrote

That they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights,

From the magic locks of Panama, from sea to shining sea, to the bloody
Field of battle at San Juan.
There's a giant walking softly, and where ever men are free
The ranks of mighty men will be forever marching on, and on

All the giants who live high up on the mountains
Your eyes may beholden no more
But the spirits of men who share in their glory
