Luyện nghe bài hát Moreton Bay

One Sunday morning as I went
By Brisbane Waters I to stray
I heard a convict his fate
As on the sunny he lay

I am a native of Ireland
But banished now from my native
They me from my aged parents
And from the whom I do adore

I've a prisoner at Port Macquarie
At Island and Emu Plains
At Castle and the cursed Toongabbie
At all settlements I've been in chains

But of all of condemnation
And penal stations in New South
To Moreton Bay I have no equal
tyranny each day prevails

For long years I was beastly treated
And irons on my legs I wore
My back from was lacerated
And oft times painted with my gore

And many a man from starvation
Lies moldering now underneath the
And Captain he had us mangled
All On the triangles of Bay

Like the Egyptians and ancient
We were oppressed under yoke
Till a native black lying in ambush
Did this tyrant with his mortal stroke

My fellow prisoners be
That all such monsters death may find
And from bondage we're liberated
Our suffering shall will fade from mind
