Luyện nghe bài hát Miss Fogarty's Christmas Cake

As I sat in my window evening,
The brought it to me
A little invitation sayin'
"Gilhooley come to tea"
I knew the Fogarties sent it.
So I just for old friendships sake.
The first thing they gave me to
Was a slice of Fogarty's cake.

There plums and prunes and cherries,
were citrons and raisins and cinnamon, too
There was nutmeg, and berries
And a crust that was nailed on glue
were caraway seeds in abundance
Such that work up a stomach ache
That could kill a man twice after a slice
Of Fogarty's Christmas cake.

Miss Mulligan to try it,
But it wasn't no use
For we in it over an hour
And we get none of it loose
Till Murphy came in a hatchet
And Kelly in with a saw
That was enough be the powers above
For to paralyze any man's

There were and prunes and cherries,
There were citrons and and cinnamon, too
There was nutmeg, cloves and
And a crust that was on with glue
There were seeds in abundance
Such that work up a fine ache
That could kill a man twice after eating a
Of Miss Christmas cake.

Fogarty proud as a peacock,
Kept smiling and blinking
Till she flipped over brogans
And she the homebrew in her tea
Aye Gilhooley she you're not eatin,
Try a little bit for me sake
And no Miss says I,
For had quite enough of your cake

Maloney was took the colic,
O'Donald's a in his head
lay down on the sofa,
And he that he wished he was dead
Miss Bailey went into
And she did wriggle and shake
And everyone swore they poisoned
Just eating Miss Fogarty's cake
